Michigan’s Adventure Cancels ‘Tricks & Treats’ for 2025, Ending Fall Festivities Early

This year, Michigan’s Adventure is going to wrap up the season a bit sooner than expected, notably canceling its popular Halloween weekends for 2025.

The announcement comes straight from Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, the parent of Michigan’s Adventure, revealing that the park will close its doors on Monday, September 1.

According to a representative from Six Flags, the decision stems from a desire to concentrate on enhancing guest experiences during the more core seasons of spring and summer. The update was communicated via email to passholders on July 21, which explained how the 2025 season would conclude on the aforementioned date.

The festive ‘Tricks & Treats’ was a Halloween event integrated on weekends throughout 2023 and 2024, providing family-friendly fun from mid-September to mid-October.

To make up for the early ending, season pass holders will receive a free ticket to the thrilling “HalloWeekends” at Cedar Point.

“We understand that not everyone reacts well to change, and we genuinely appreciate the support from our loyal guests,” the spokesperson from Six Flags mentioned.

It’s also worth noting that Six Flags merged with Cedar Fair Entertainment Company last year, which previously owned Michigan’s Adventure, Cedar Point, and other parks, bringing the forces together under the Six Flags name.

Looking ahead, another Six Flags rep remarked, “We’re gearing up for an exciting 2026 season and can’t wait to bring back more adventures for our visitors.”
