Matt Rife and Elton Castee Renew Their Bid to Buy ‘The Conjuring’ House

Comedian Matt Rife and popular YouTuber Elton Castee are back in the game, pushing once again to purchase ‘The Conjuring’ house located in Rhode Island. This comes after they recently made headlines for buying the house in Connecticut that belonged to the legendary paranormal investigators, Ed and Lorraine Warren.

According to Castee, this isn’t their first attempt at snagging the haunted property. Last month, the duo sent a certified offer directly to the current owner, Jacqueline Nuñez.

In a recent chat with WPRI, Castee expressed their hopes, saying, “It breaks our hearts to see it in such a rough state, and we want to transform it into a place where people from all over the globe can visit and experience its history.”

Sadly, the once-bustling spooky destination has seen better days. Last year, the Burrillville Town Council made the decision not to renew the entertainment license for the owner, which halted all tours and overnight stays.

Nuñez reportedly couldn’t be reached for any comments regarding the recent offer made by Rife and Castee.

Having a long-standing interest in the paranormal, Rife stated it would be a personal dream to own the infamous house with his close friend. “As much as I’m into paranormal activities, film, and the history that surrounds the home, it would be a real privilege to help maintain its legacy,” he said.

Castee shared that both he and Rife have lasting memories tied to the house. Just a year ago, they filmed a Youtube video inside the very property that marked Rife’s first meeting with Dan Rivera, the caretaker of the haunted Annabelle doll.

Not so long ago, Rivera passed away in July while they were in the process of securing the Monroe, Connecticut home of the Warrens. “It’s heartbreaking. It was a time when Matt and Dan finally connected, and although we were looking forward to partnerships at the Warren House, that opportunity sadly slipped away,” Castee reflected.

In related news, a paranormal investigator linked through Rivera recently passed away unexpectedly.

This past weekend, Rife confirmed that he and Castee have indeed purchased the Warren home and the Occult Museum. Their future plans include hosting overnight stays where visitors will have the chance to utilize investigation equipment during their stay. Notably, Castee and Rife are now the legal guardians of the unique haunted museum packed with 750 paranormal artifacts, including the notorious Annabelle doll.

Guests will not only have access to their lodgings but also to everything in the museum, according to Castee’s updates.

Meanwhile, Rife noted how crucial ‘The Conjuring’ house is to the paranormal community. “If we get this house, we’re committed to caring for it and opening it to anyone keen to delve into and discover its haunted legacy,” he mentioned.
