It’s been a while since Kelly Ripa graced the screen of Live, with her last appearance dating back to August 1.
During her absence, her husband Mark Consuelos has been stepping in, paired with a lineup of celebrity guests. Just recently, The Hunting Wives star Katie Lowes filled in on August 8.
Despite keeping a low profile, Kelly decided to share a stunning beach photo on her Instagram this past weekend, showcasing a beautiful sunset.
This picturesque moment was posted on her Stories, and you can spot Mark tagged in the photo, hinting that he’s probably enjoying the sun and sand with her.
While the specifics of her getaway remain under wraps, there’s a good chance Kelly has ventured to the Hamptons, where the family owns a vacation home. She opened up previously in an interview about how much she loves weekends at the shore.
When asked about her ocean swimming during a chat with The Pursuit, she revealed, “I do go in the ocean, but you’ll never catch me in Northeast waters. I usually come out here after working, and in the limited time I have, I really prefer not to freeze.”
In her words: “They tell us every year that the ocean’s water is the warmest it’s ever been, but I’m always like, ‘Is that in the Northeast?’, because what I think of as warm water is quite different from what others mean. This summer seems to have had unusually active fish too.”
Kelly and Mark often find themselves at their Hamptons property over the warmer months and during family holidays. They’ve hosted many famous faces there, including the likes of David Muir.
In the past, Kelly reminisced about David’s visits while on Live. She stated, “I do miss our weekends together,” to which David chimed in about bonding poolside and grilling together.
David’s visits were especially enjoyable for her kids, who loved the fun barbecues and activities they shared.
Kelly said to David, “You’re a fantastic grill master; your cheeseburgers are the best! Joaquin prefers dining with you to anywhere else in the world,” which drew a pleased smile from David.
The Hamptons home serves as a perfect family gathering spot now that their three grown-up kids have each carved out their own paths. Michael, 28, is pursuing acting in Brooklyn, while their 24-year-old daughter Lola is a musician balancing life between London and New York. Their youngest, Joaquin, recently graduated from the University of Michigan at 22.
