Zach Bryan is cutting ties with Kansas City as the new NFL season approaches.
The 29-year-old country music artist made a bold statement on , declaring he won’t set foot on stage in the Midwestern city again—home to the Kansas City Chiefs—after getting into a bit of a mess with their fans online.
“Where are all the three-peat supporters from last year?” Bryan, a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan, posted on X, alluding to the Chiefs’ unsuccessful attempt to win three back-to-back Super Bowls after their defeat to the Eagles in 2025.
This comment didn’t sit well with Chiefs fans, leading to a shower of angry replies under his post. One fan angrily stated, “3 Super Bowl wins in 5 seasons. Eagles have only won 2 in their 70-year history. Just sit down, Eagles fan from Oklahoma.” Another chimed in, “Just another annoying Eagles fan; nothing to see here.”
In response to the backlash, the singer of “I Remember Everything” made it clear he has no plans to perform in Kansas City again. “Please understand I will never play in Kansas City,” he stated on X. “I’ll be about to finish my show and then get a taunting call if I even play at that stadium.”
He was referring to Arrowhead Stadium, which is the Chiefs’ home stadium and a spot frequently visited by Taylor Swift, known for attending games to support her boyfriend, Chiefs player Travis Kelce.
Amidst the back-and-forth, a Chiefs fan suggested Bryan should remove “Fifth of May (Live from Kansas City)” from his digital 24 Live album released in December 2024. Bryan simply replied, “Done, brother.” However, as of Sunday morning, the track is still available on streaming services.
“Bro, all you have to do to annoy a Chiefs fan is play a fair game of football,” Bryan persisted. “It’s okay to talk a little trash about football; you all are acting strange.”
Meanwhile, Kansas City fans hungry for Bryan’s music need not lose hope just yet. “I miss you Bonner Springs coming to play next year,” the artist mentioned on X Sunday morning, referring to a nearby city just outside Kansas City.
