In a recent turning of events, two guys from Fontana have been nabbed by the cops in relation to a gang-related stabbing that occurred last month, leaving one person seriously hurt. Reports from the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department indicate that the aggression took place roughly at 12:45 a.m. on July 13, specifically in the 15000 block of Athol Street, situated in an unincorporated area of Fontana.

According to the investigation, the victim, whose name hasn’t been released, was just strolling in the vicinity when they got ambushed by members of a rival gang and got stabbed multiple times.

The Fontana Sheriff’s Station detectives stepped in to lead the investigation, concluding that the attack was no coincidence; the victim was deliberately targeted due to their ties with a rival gang. Through collaboration with the gang unit of the Fontana Police Department, detectives identified the suspects as 26-year-old Jayson Moran and 25-year-old Justin Meza, both locals from Fontana. Additional witnesses were also tracked down during the inquiries.

On August 7, investigators from Fontana, alongside specialized enforcement teams of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, executed several search warrants in Fontana and Colton areas. This operation led to the arrest of Moran and Meza.

During the searches, the detectives managed to seize three firearms, ammunition, several high-capacity magazines, a stolen motorcycle, and various gang-related items.

Both suspects now find themselves housed in a San Bernardino County jail, facing serious charges of attempted murder and being part of a criminal street gang. Each of them has a bail set at a hefty $1 million, as reported.
