This is Leonard Hugall, currently held at DeSoto County Jail.

Hugall, caught down in Florida, is set for extradition back to Jackson County.

In Michigan, a verdict of Felony Murder comes with a mandatory life sentence without the chance of parole.

The investigation into the girl’s mysterious disappearance kicked off back in 1984 when she was reported missing, though sadly, she was never found.

Years of hard work in revisiting the case led to Hugall being charged over his alleged involvement.

In a recent press release, Sheriff Schuette expressed his gratitude for the relentless work from Detective Sergeant Kelly Ebersole and Detective Mark Easter. He remarked, “This arrest shows that time doesn’t lessen our determination. Holding Hugall responsible after all this time underscores our commitment to this case — we never stop, regardless of how long it takes.”

Following Tanger’s extradition from Florida, Hugall will face arraignment at the 12th District Court in Jackson County.
