Police detectives in West Los Angeles are urgently seeking more victims following the recent release of a man implicated in a string of sexual assault cases.
42-year-old Jean Junior Dar, who is also known as Jean-Que or just “Que,” was arrested for allegedly drugging and assaulting at least three men in the Venice and Santa Monica areas earlier this year. This alarming update from the LAPD came to light on Wednesday.
One victim, who is 24 years old, reported that in January 2025, Dar had drugged and assaulted him. As the investigation progressed, detectives uncovered two other victims in their twenties with eerily similar experiences involving Dar.
The LAPD explained, “In all reported incidents, the victims met Dar at a bar. After engaging in conversation, he invited them to an after-party at his place.” Upon arriving at his home near Marina Del Rey, the victims were offered a drink. After consuming it, they recalled becoming incapacitated, with Dar then committing sexual acts against their will.
The police arrested Dar on May 21 on serious charges, including what’s known as penetration by a foreign object against an intoxicated person and oral copulation against an intoxicated person. This case was escalated to the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office, resulting in several felony sexual assault charges being filed.
Unfortunately, Dar managed to post bail and was released from custody on August 13.
Detectives expressed concern that there may be more victims who haven’t yet come forward and shared a photo of Dar for identification purposes.
