After a heartbreaking period, Sharon Osbourne has re-emerged on social media nearly six weeks following the death of her husband, the legendary Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away at the age of 76 on July 22.
Sharon, aged 72, is still grieving the loss of her partner, who was an iconic figure in rock music, known for his time with Black Sabbath. He passed shortly after performing what was considered his farewell concert in Birmingham, marking a poignant moment in his illustrious career.
Ozzy had faced a series of significant health challenges throughout the years, including Parkinson’s disease. In a touching tribute over the weekend, his social media team shared a photo that showed him on stage in Birmingham, and the post featured an emotional message: “I don’t want to say goodbye. When I do, you’ll be alright. After all, I did it all for you.”
In a rare act of engagement, Sharon liked the tribute from her official account while she continues to navigate life after the loss of her beloved husband. Although she has yet to share her own personal reflections on her Instagram account, this small interaction speaks volumes.
Before his passing, Ozzy had enjoyed moments with fans, notably at a Comic Con, just days before his death. His demise was attributed to a combination of health concerns, including an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest and complications from coronary artery disease.
His death certificate poignantly acknowledged Sharon, listing him as a “songwriter, performer, and Rock legend. Husband of Sharon Rachel Osbourne, Music Artist Manager.” Sharon took over as his manager back in 1979, marking the beginning of both a personal and professional journey that flourished alongside their legendary status.
In July, the family shared a heartfelt expression following Ozzy’s passing, stating, “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we announce that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away. He was loved, surrounded by family, and we ask everyone to respect our family’s privacy during this difficult time.” This message reflected just how deeply he was cherished by those closest to him.
Jack, their son, also spoke emotionally on Instagram about his father’s death. He said, “I’ve struggled to find words since he passed, my heart aches. I was incredibly fortunate to call him ‘Dad’. Though my heart is heavy with grief, I am grateful for the time I had with him… Life is truly about living to the fullest, which Dad did beautifully. I love you so much, Dad.”
Similarly, Kelly, their daughter, articulated her mixed emotions saying, “Every message of kindness has meant more than I can express. Feeling my family’s pain yet knowing we’re not alone helps… Holding tight to the legacy Dad left us. I love you all tremendously. #BirminghamForever #OzzyForever.”
