Chloë Grace Moretz has taken the big step of marrying her long-time love, model Kate Harrison.
They’ve kept things mostly under wraps during their seven-year relationship, but Vogue confirmed that the couple got married over Labor Day weekend. Not long after the story broke, Moretz posted some adorable snapshots on Instagram, showing off their stylish outfits by Louis Vuitton.
For the wedding, Moretz donned a soft blue dress and later changed into a custom white jacket paired with trousers and a cowboy hat for the after-party. Harrison looked stunning in a white lace bustier complemented by a matching skirt, along with chic bodice and trousers for later celebrations.
Talking about their wedding vibe, the Kick-Ass star shared her excitement with Vogue, saying, “A big part of the wedding is all about sharing things that Kate and I cherish with everyone there. So, we’re doing things like fishing, horse riding, and poker. Kate even crafted a special poker mat for the occasion. And the second day? We’re going full-on line dancing.”
Even though they never officially announced their engagement, Moretz sparked speculation in January when she shared a pic of her and Harrison displaying matching diamond rings. She captioned the post, “Happiest New Year, so thankful for what this year has brought.”
“The people, the places, our families, our health, our love. Wishing all of you a peaceful start to this new year,” she added, reflecting on the many blessings they shared.
Moretz and Harrison have been linked since 2018, after they were spotted sharing a kiss in Malibu, California. Interestingly, Moretz didn’t openly discuss her sexuality until November 2024, when she encouraged followers to vote early in the presidential elections.
Alongside a photo of her’s with an “I voted early” sticker, she wrote about her support for Kamala Harris, making her beliefs clear by stating, “I believe the government has no right over my body as a woman; those decisions lie only between me and my doctor.”
While acknowledging the importance of legal protections for the LGBTQ+ community, she expressed the need for accessible care for everyone. “We absolutely need protections in this country,” she emphasized.
Sharing more, Moretz called her followers to make plans for voting together, stating, “Go to IWillVote.com to figure out the best plan for you.”
Flashback to 2018, when Moretz starred in the indie drama The Miseducation of Cameron Post, a film tackling the harsh realities of gay conversion therapies.
In an interview with The Independent, she beautifully articulated her views on identity, saying, “I don’t see myself as a homosexual or anything. These are just labels society places on us. We’re all just human beings trying to be with those we love.” She encouraged everyone to live authentically, advising against assigning labels to others or projecting personal issues onto them. “Why not just let people be who they truly are?” she asked.
