Helen Maroulis, the Olympic gold medalist who has made waves in the wrestling world, is the newest sensation to join the Real American Freestyle wrestling crew.

Maroulis stands out as America’s most decorated female wrestler. In 2016, she became the first woman from the U.S. to win Olympic gold, and she’s added bronze medals from both the Tokyo and Paris Olympics to her collection. With her recent win, she’s now the only American woman boasting three Olympic medals, alongside her impressive tally of four world championships and eight world medals overall.

The big news broke on Thursday when RAF announced Maroulis’s signing.

Expressing her enthusiasm, Maroulis shared, “I’m so excited to be a part of Real American Freestyle. It’s been a dream of mine to have more opportunities to showcase my skills stateside and be involved in a fantastic production that promotes wrestling and the wonderful community we’ve built.”.

Fans can catch her debut on October 25 at RAF 2, where she will take on Canada’s Samantha Stewart. Originally scheduled to be held at the 6,502-seat Rec Hall in State College, Pennsylvania, the event has moved to the much larger Bryce Jordan Center, which seats 15,261, due to an overwhelming demand for tickets.

In a twist, Olympic gold medalist Kyle Snyder will miss the RAF 2 event because of a knee injury. He will be replaced by Moldova’s Alexander Romanov, who will face 2024 U.S. Olympian Mason Parris instead.
