Kazuki Hirata’s Title Defense Against Yoshihiko
Kazuki Hirata is coming in hot after clinching his first KO-D Openweight Championship title in a stunning upset against Yuki Ueno at Wrestle Peter Pan. Fans were left speechless, making it one of the standout moments in DDT’s history!
Since that triumph, Hirata has been keeping himself on his toes, carefully watching over the other competitors holding the Right to Challenge sleeves. At the recent Fighting Beer Garden event, he named his first challenger – the inflatable doll, Yoshihiko!
This matchup will mark their fourth singles encounter, and Yoshihiko has dramatically won all of their previous battles. Is Hirata picking a fight with his worst nightmare? We’ll find out soon!
Takeshi Masada Seizes a Huge Opportunity
Takeshi Masada officially entered the wrestling scene three years ago, taking on veteran HARASHIMA in his debut. It was a bold statement by DDT, showcasing their faith in this rising star. This Sunday, Masada will have his shot at proving their confidence justified when he battles the legendary Minoru Suzuki for the Universal Championship.
The competition will be fierce, and while Masada might have bit off more than he can chew, he has the chance to shine in what’s undoubtedly the biggest match of his young career. Can he pull off the unthinkable against a wrestling icon?
Kaisei Takechi’s Quest for Gold
From actor to pro-wrestler, Kaisei Takechi is on a journey to snag his first championship title. He’ll team up with Saunas KAMIINA’s To-y and Yuki Ueno to challenge Hideki Okatani, MJ Paul, and Ilusion for the vacant KO-D Six-Man Tag Titles.
Even though Takechi has limited experience with just four matches under his belt, he’s shown a knack for blending athleticism with wrestling finesse. To help his team claim victory, he’ll need to dig deep and rise to the occasion!
Evil Uno’s Japan Debut
The buzz is high as Evil Uno makes his debut in Japan, pairing up with Danshoku Dieno for a tag match against Jun Akiyama and HARASHIMA. Uno becomes the third talent from AEW to showcase their talent in DDT this year.
Anticipation is rolling in regarding how his wrestling style will blend with the DDT legends. Plus, this match marks his return to the ring since his last bout at the Capital City Championship Combat in Canada.
Don’t miss this unmissable showcase of talent! And, just a heads up: last Tuesday, the Apex (Yuki Iino & Yukio Naya) defended their KO-D Tag Team titles successfully against the current Extreme Champion To-y and Yuya Koroku at Dramatic Expo 2025, which you can catch today on Wrestle Universe!
