As the future king of the United Kingdom and a dedicated father to three young kids, Prince William holds family close to his heart. He often puts his kids—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—at the forefront of his priorities. Recently, he revealed a rather interesting hobby that ties back to his parenting journey.
In an appearance on the Apple TV+ show The Reluctant Traveler, the prince had an open chat with host Eugene Levy. When asked about his downtime activities, he humorously admitted, “Sleep. When you have three small children, sleep is an important part of my life.”
William and his wife, Princess Kate, juggle parenting their 12-year-old son George, 10-year-old daughter Charlotte, and 7-year-old Louis, which likely leaves them with not much snooze time at all.
Moreover, he opened up about harder times he faced in 2024 when both his wife and father were diagnosed with cancer. He frankly stated, “I’d say ’23–’24 was the hardest year I’ve ever had. Life is sent to test us and overcoming that is what shapes who we are.”
In addition, royal expert Robert Jobson shared insights with Harper’s BAZAAR about how Kate and William approach parenting. He noted, “[They are] very much a mom and dad first.” According to him, they give equal love and focus to each child while fostering their unique personalities.
With three energetic pre-teens running around, it’s no wonder that sleep is such a prized possession for Prince William!
