Concerns Arise Over Super Bowl LX Halftime Show Featuring Bad Bunny Instead of Taylor Swift

The halftime show lineup for Super Bowl LX is out, and it’s Bad Bunny who will take center stage at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. While many fans might be excited, this move hasn’t gone unnoticed, and not everyone is pleased with the decision. Will Compton and Taylor Lewan, hosts of the podcast Bussin With The Boys, recently discussed their thoughts on why this might be a misstep.

At the heart of their concern is none other than Taylor Swift, who has been in the spotlight lately thanks to her relationship with Travis Kelce, tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. Lewan expressed on the Up & Adams show with Kay Adams, “Honestly, I think the NFL may have dropped the ball picking Bad Bunny over Swift. No shade towards Bad Bunny—he’s super talented, even star in Happy Gilmore 2—but the true crowd pleaser would have been the Swifties!”

There was a buzz earlier about Swift potentially headlining the show, but something clearly fell through. “Taylor’s been really immersing herself into the football culture, merging these two distinct worlds. Just look at how the NFL’s popularity keeps climbing!” Lewan continued. “Who knows how much longer we’ll get to see Kelce on the field, so let’s make the most of it and hire Taylor for the halftime show!”

Kay Adams chimed in with a logical point that Swift’s hesitance to perform could be due to Kelce still being active. Perhaps the show will happen once he retires. Compton nodded in agreement, acknowledging that idea.

Could Taylor Swift Still Be on the Radar for a Halftime Performance?

Interestingly, during a segment on the Today Show, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell teased the possibility of Swift’s involvement in the future, saying, “We’d always love to have Taylor perform. She’s such a unique talent and would be welcome at any time.” When asked if anything was being planned, Goodell danced around the topic, indicating it’s still up in the air.

Savannah Guthrie asked, “Is it in the works?” to which Goodell replied, “I can’t disclose anything on that.” When pressed further, he summed it up with a noncommittal, “It’s a maybe.”
