Top 5 AI Features of the Google Pixel 10 Pro That I Can’t Live Without

Estimated read time 5 min read

If you’re into technology, you might wanna keep an eye on this! The Google Pixel has always been all about those clever, smart features powered by AI, instead of just relying on hardware power, and the Pixel 10 Pro definitely sticks to this theme.

Many of the features I regularly use may not be brand-new, but they’re certainly part of what defines the Pixel experience. While there’s a bunch of cool stuff like Magic Cue or Pixel Journal, I personally don’t use some of them too often. Google even decided to scrap the Pixel Daily Hub after it didn’t meet the expectations. Proof that not every shiny new tool makes the cut!

So, let’s talk about what’s really good and actually useful. Here are my top AI features on the Pixel that I can’t imagine my life without.

Screening Calls and Scam Detection

This cool feature has been around since the Pixel 3, but it has improved a lot. In simple terms, Pixel phones can automatically screen calls from unknown users, dodge those pesky scam calls, and even keep you waiting on hold if necessary.

I’d say, all the complaints about Tensor’s gaming receive rants or feedback, but users who switch to Pixel are super impressed with how these features perform. Trust me, the community has spoken on Reddit, dubbing it a game-changer! Reddit folks are on to something.

Since its launch, Google has added tons of features like caller ID, spam filtering, scam detection, and several others including Call Notes and Hold for Me. While other brands offer similar stuff, none handle spam quite like Pixel does – it’s still one of the best selling points.

Camera Motion Capture

This year, the Pixel 10 camera brought Pro Res Zoom and Camera Coach, but my personal favorite feature is Frequent Faces. You need to toggle this on in the camera settings. It ensures that you capture sharp images of your favorite people or pets every single time.

Frequent Faces works on the tech simple. Your Pixel learns the faces of the folks and pets you snap the most and saves that info for future pics. Take those memorable shots when your little one is running around at dusk – how many other phones can offer that clarity?

Pixel Recorder

No other app gets more love from me than the Pixel Recorder. Why? Well, as a journalist, recording interviews, capturing notes, and logging details is part of the game, and this app has truly been a lifesaver since it dropped with the Pixel 4.

Sure, many phones have their in-built audio recorders, but the Pixel steals the spotlight with top-notch transcription quality. Forget about those others – the Pixel nails local transcriptions all while you’re safely backing them up to Google. Not to mention the added features like automatic speaker labels and summaries so you can easily find what you need.

With the latest updates, it even has some music-making capabilities if you feel inspired. The Pixel Recorder just keeps getting better.

Pixel Screenshots

As someone who snaps an insane amount of screenshots, I can’t go without mentioning Pixel Screenshots. Whether I’m for work or simply capturing updates, this feature makes organizing and finding those screenshots a breeze.

You can seamlessly send your screenshots to Notebook LM right after you capture, which opens a whole new level of searching and organizing ideas. Everything you need at your foot, yet finding a spot to organize can be a headache. These two apps offer outstanding and distinct solutions!

Meme Creation Made Easy

Veo 3 is the newer kid on the block for Google, helping users with AI image and audio generation right from Gemini. While any device can hop on the making a video feature from Gemini, owning a Pixel 10 Pro makes it super easy, plus you get a free one-year access to Google AI Pro.

Honestly, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve jumped on to the Gemini app just to whip up a quick entertaining video or a meme for friends. Whether it’s to spice up a conversation or fill in a quirky transition for my YouTube, this functionality has become essential in my creative setup.

If you’re less about making videos but want fun custom images, Pixel Studio lets you deign anything from birthday graphics featuring your nephew’s favorite characters to adorable stickers of capybaras. Because, why not?
