Katy Perry had a heartfelt farewell during her final show of the Lifetimes Tour in Australia, just days after announcing her breakup with Orlando Bloom after a nine-year relationship.
During a performance on June 30 at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, a touching video clip reveals Katy holding up a hand heart as she tearfully thanks her fans. “Thank you for always being there for me, Australia,” she said, visibly moved.
Adding to her emotion, Perry declared, “It means the world,” before diving into her powerful anthem, “Firework.”
This final show in Adelaide wrapped up a month full of concerts across Australia, with stops in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth. Just prior to this last performance, People magazine reported that Katy and Orlando have officially called off their relationship, which began nearly a decade ago, included their engagement in 2019, and welcomed their daughter, Daisy, in 2020.
Speculation about their split had been floating around for weeks, but earlier in May at one of her shows in Nevada, Katy had appeared to confirm their connection. While playfully interacting with a fan, she declared, “If you keep DMing my man, I’m going to have you removed. Seriously, get your own life – I’m his wife.”
Looking ahead, Katy is set to bring her Lifetimes Tour to North America, kicking off on July 10 in Denver. After a series of shows in Europe, Latin America, and Asia, the tour is expected to wrap up on December 7 in the United Arab Emirates.
