Marjorie Taylor Greene Quits Congress Following Trump Feud

Marjorie Taylor Greene, once a staunch supporter of Trump and a favorite in the MAGA circle, has declared she will resign from Congress following a public spat with the former president.

In an announcement she made on Friday, the Republican representative from Georgia voiced her discontent with the current trajectory of the political movement she had long championed.

The rift between Greene and Trump emerged after she aligned with Democrats in calling for the release of documents regarding the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender—an action that Trump had opposed. As a result, Trump retracted his endorsement of Greene and distanced himself from her just last week.

Greene confirmed that her last day in office will be on January 5.
