CNN took a pause in its usual programming for significant breaking news after a live on-air contradiction involving Donald Trump.

The distressing update was about the fatal shooting of a National Guard member near the White House on Wednesday. Sarah Beckstrom, just 20 years old, sadly died from her wounds on November 27. Meanwhile, 24-year-old Andrew Wolfe is currently battling for his life…

In the wake of this tragedy, Trump shared several messages on his Truth Social account, which included a sobering acknowledgment that “there will be a day I run out of energy.” This statement came on the heels of his contemplations regarding his spiritual fate, questioning whether he would “get into heaven.” A shocking claim about his health also surfaced from the daughter of Trump’s physician.

While attempting to shift the blame onto Joe Biden’s administration for allowing an Afghan national, linked to the Washington DC shooting, to enter the U.S., CNN clarified that this individual had actually filed for asylum in December 2024, and got approved in April 2025, during Trump’s second term as president.

A CNN analyst detailed the process: “He arrived from Afghanistan in the summer of 2021 amidst the chaos, and refugees during that period had to pass various background checks and have sponsorship in place.”

“His asylum request was made in December 2024, and there was another vetting process. He got approved this year, but he arrived during the Biden administration.”

Trump’s remarks on Truth Social came after he responded to a New York Times piece reflecting on his “aging”, facing off against the journalist. He stated, “[To be president] requires immense work and energy, and I’ve never slacked off! However, The Radical Left at the New York Times did a hit job suggesting I might be losing energy, while evidence shows otherwise.”

Following a heated insult directed at reporter Katie Rogers for being “ugly inside and out,” he continued: “Certainly, there will be a day when I’m steered low on energy. This happens to everyone, but following a perfect health examination and a cognitive assessment (that I aced) this certainly is not that day!”

Recently, there has been an uptick in worries about the 79-year-old president’s health, with observations around makeup usage to mask bruises on his hands and details of a recent doctor’s visit involving an MRI.

These comments also come after Trump expressed skepticism about his prospects of entering heaven during a flight on Air Force One, suggesting that brokering peace in Ukraine might be beneficial for his afterlife, admitting, “I don’t think anything will earn me a ticket to heaven…I’m not feeling heaven-bound just yet.”

This development follows Trump’s press secretary, snatching the headline herself with testimonials of “PTSD” stemming from grueling decisions with her husband, who’s 60.
