(KRON) — In a shocking twist to a decades-old murder mystery, Foster City Police have arrested an 81-year-old man in connection with the case.

Officers arrested Patrick Galvani this Monday in San Francisco, according to police sources.

Civic Center BART station has reopened after a closure due to an electrical fire.

So, what happened? Back in 1982, the lifeless body of Nancy Galvani, who was estranged from Patrick, was found floating in a sleeping bag close to the San Mateo Bridge. This case puzzled investigators for years until recent breakthroughs came to light, leading to Galvani’s arrest.

Now he’s been booked into the San Mateo County Jail with a murder charge, as confirmed by FCPD.

Right now, the police haven’t disclosed further details about the investigation, but they assure the public that it’s still very much active.
