In a bold statement, Donald Trump is pushing for legal charges against former Vice President Kamala Harris due to massive sums her campaign allegedly handed to celebrities during the 2024 election season.
In a Truth Social post over the weekend, Trump claimed that payments made to well-known figures such as Beyonce, Oprah Winfrey, and Rev. Al Sharpton were listed inaccurately in the campaign’s financial records. He insinuated that these celebrities were compensated for their endorsements, which is considered illegal.
Trump stated, “Take a look at the hefty amount the Democrats owe post-Presidential Election. They openly admit to paying a staggering Eleven Million Dollars to singer Beyoncé for an endorsement (she didn’t perform, left amidst boos from the crowd!), Three Million for ‘expenses’ to Oprah, and Six Hundred Thousand Dollars to the light-rated TV ‘anchor,’ Al Sharpton (who is frankly, quite a lightweight!), among others for doing nothing at all. These crazy fees were not recorded properly. YOU CAN’T PAY FOR AN ENDORSEMENT. IT IS TOTALLY ILLEGAL!”
Concluding his message, he urged for both Harris and the endorsing celebrities to be held accountable by the law.
“Just think about the chaos that would ensue if politicians started paying people for endorsements. It would be pandemonium! Kamala and everyone who took endorsement cash have broken the law. They all deserve to be prosecuted!” he expressed.
Trump’s allegations of wrongdoing by Harris’ campaign is something he has brought up several times, even after returning to the White House.
Back in May, he called for a comprehensive investigation into Harris’s celebrity endorsements, especially targeting Bruce Springsteen, who supported her at two rallies, along with the endorsements from Oprah and Beyonce.
Various reports have revealed hefty sums received by some celebrities from Harris’s campaign, which reportedly spent over $1 billion in just three months.

Through various production firms and nonprofit organizations, Beyonce was reported to be paid $165,000, Oprah received $1 million, and Sharpton got $500,000 prior to her interview with the presidential candidate.
Both Beyonce and Oprah have claimed they weren’t compensated for endorsements, clarifying that these payments were for production aspects of the campaign events they were involved in.
