The sudden passing of 18-year-old Layla-Maria Grubb has left her family and friends heartbroken. They remember her as a beacon of joy and light, insisting that she enriched the lives of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Layla was discovered deceased in her home in Australia on Saturday, July 19, as reported by the Daily Telegraph.
Just hours prior, she had been released from the hospital, where she had been treated for a suspected seizure. “We’re all searching for answers,” her mother, Beth Ashton, expressed in a conversation with the same news outlet.
Grubb trained at Village Nation, an esteemed dance company, where her director, Briden Starr, praised her as a “positive, focused young woman” and described her commitment to the art.
In a sorrowful message shared on social media after Layla’s death, Ashton expressed, “Our baby girl left us far too soon.” She added, “Layla-Maria filled our lives with joy, love, and laughter, a beautiful dancer who brought radiance to every stage she stepped on. We will tremendously miss her smiles, kindness, and spirit, which will forever be etched in our hearts. Although her time with us was fleeting, she will always remain 18. ❤” Ashton asked for prayers and positive thoughts for their family during this challenging time.
Furthermore, JLC Dance Company, where Grubb trained in Western Australia, mourned her loss.
