Why St. Croix Should Be the Next Island on Your Bucket List

Why St. Croix Should Be the Next Island on Your Bucket List When dreaming of a window-seat view on a flight to the Caribbean, one color comes to mind: blue. But anyone who has flown over the area in the seven months since hurricanes Irma and Maria caused widespread devastation has probably noticed another, less idyllic shade of blue: royal blue FEMA tarps covering the missing or damaged roofs of residents' homes.

Aussie meme culture is a truly bizarre beast.

The latest twist in Shannon Noll’s somewhat meme-driven career comes in the form of a Nollsie-themed restaurant in Cronulla, New South Wales.

According to The Brag, Mexican cantina El Sol will pay homage to the nation’s most famous soul patch (sorry, Stu from Neighbours) by changing its name to “El Noll” and serving up a menu themed around the Australian Idol runner-up.

Customers will enjoy dishes the likes of “NOLLchos, What About Beans and Mexican Shannon Rolls” before refreshing their palette with some “Shangria”.

Sadly, there’s a catch: El Noll will only be operating for one day *softly weeps*.

A Toy Story-themed Plane Is Here to Take You to Infinity and Beyond

Shannon Noll (born 16 September 1975) is an Australian singer-songwriter who first came to prominence as runner-up of the first season of Australian Idol in 2003, which led to him being signed to Sony BMG. He has released five top ten albums, including two number-one multi-platinum sellers.

ALL love Shannon Noll , so naturally we were stoked when we heard the news that Sydney is getting its very own Shannon Noll themed restaurant . His mural popped up on the side of a restaurant in Cronulla last week and everyone went wild… now that same restaurant is delivering the goods.

You may ask: why, of all venues, would a Mexican cantina want to pay tribute to Nollsie?

Firstly, why the hell not? You voted for Guy Sebastian, didn’t you?

Secondly, El Sol copped a bit of a makeover last week.

The Brag reports El Noll will be open on May 20 from 4pm; you’ll find the joint at 40/42 Kingsway, Cronulla and entry is free of charge.

There’ll be live bands, DJs and a “secret headliner”. If the secret headliner isn’t Nollsie himself, I’ll grow a soul patch just so I can shave it off in disgust.

What to do when a know-it-all gets in your face?</p>I know I'm not the only person who has been on the receiving end of irritating, uninvited workout advice. Fitness bloggers often post clapbacks to jerks who approach them in the gym. Recently, a friend of mine tweeted that getting corrections in yoga class is "humiliating." And in rock climbing there's something called "unsolicited beta," whereby strangers just give advice to whomever is on the wall. Most of the time corrections, cues, and pointers from a trainer are completely necessary and even welcome.
