On Wednesday, their step-grandmother, the Duchess of Cornwall (you may still think of her as Camilla Parker-Bowles) appeared on the television show MasterChef Australia and revealed a tasty tidbit about the young royals.

When show judge Gary Mehigan asked the Duchess about her kitchen essentials, she named olive oil, tomato puree, and that best friend to French fries, ketchup.

“For my grandchildren,” she said, “They are rather addicted to ketchup,” she said.

Yes, Camilla does have other grandchildren, and they’re all of a prime age to love the tomatoey condiment, so we’re going to assume the little royals are included in that ketchup-loving group.

Will Princess Eugenie break royal protocol with her wedding manicure?

Will Princess Eugenie break royal protocol with her wedding manicure? Princess Eugenie is known for her love of bold nail art, which has lead to speculation that she might opt for a daring manicure on her wedding dayOver the past few years, Princess Eugenie has developed a reputation for being one of the more daring royals when it comes to her fashion choices. The 27-year-old enjoys taking risks in bold prints and edgy styles, such as the paint-splattered Oscar de la Renta dress she wore the Royal family's annual Easter church service, or the asymmetric tunic and wet-look leggings she was recently spotted in.

Although ketchup might be Prince George and Princess Charlotte 's favorite condiment , they reportedly call one type of cuisine their favorite — Italian.

Prince William & Duchess of Cambridge arrive at church service at Englefield Church, Berkshire.

And the one food royals must avoid? “I hate to say this, but garlic,” the Duchess told Mehigan. “Garlic is a no-no.”

“Because you’re (always) talking, chatting (with other people)?” Mehigan asked.

“Yes, exactly,” she confirmed. “So you always have to lay off the garlic.”

Ketchup may not be a surprising favorite where children are concerned, but the adult royals do have distinct tastes.
