Man critical after balcony fall in Sydney's north west A man has been critically injured after falling from a balcony at Putney in Sydney's north west. A man has been critically injured after falling from a balcony at Putney in Sydney's north west on Saturday night. Emergency services were called to a home on McGowan Street, just before 6pm, after reports a man was injured. The man, believed to be aged in his 20s, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition. Police have been told he fell from a three-storey balcony onto the pavement below, near a swimming pool.

Police are desperately searching for a child reported missing from a school in Sydney’s north.

A young boy, aged between 5 and 7-years-old, was reported missing from Pennant Hills Public School earlier this morning.

He was last seen before 10am wearing his school uniform.

Officers are on the scene and a search operation involving a police helicopter is underway.

The Police Dog Unit and the Order & Riot Squad have been called in to assist with finding the child.
