Four young men face murder charges over the death of WA prisoner Four young men are facing murder charges over the death of a WA prisoner who was found with serious injuries in jail in late February. Alf Deon Eades, 46, was a remand inmate at Hakea Prison when he was assaulted on February 26. He later died in hospital from his injuries on March 11. Homicide Squad detectives took over the investigation and late last week revealed they had charged two men, both aged 22, with murder. One of the 22-year-old men faced Armadale Magistrates Court last Tuesday. He's been remanded in custody. The second man made his first court appearance on Saturday.

A man is expected to face a Sydney court after he was extradited from the United States and charged with murdering Thai national Wachira Detectives travelled to the US last week to extradite him after he was arrested by local authorities there last year for an unrelated matter, according to NSW Police.

A garbage bag dumped at Sydney construction site helped lead police to a man who is accused of killing a Starbucks worker.

The body of Wachira "Mario" Phetmang. 33, was found wrapped in a mattress protector and dumped on the side of a busy road at Sydney Olympic Park in June last year.

Police extradited US national Alex Dion on Sundayand charged him with murder before he appeared before Central Local Court today.

Mr Phetmang was last seen at a South Hurstville service station with an associate on May 25 last year.

Police will allege the associate was Mr Dion and the pair had met up for the purposes of a small-time drug deal.

It has been 10 months since Mr Phetmang's body was discovered by a truck driver on Homebush Bay Drive but US extradition papers reveal police started tracking Dion's movements soon after the alleged murder.

The papers revealed a builder found a garbage bag filled with clothes at an East Killara construction site where Dion had been working as a tiler.

Inside the bag police allege were the glasses and clothes Mr Phetmang appeared to be wearing when he disappeared on May 25.

It's also alleged there were two tyre irons, a metal bar and paperwork belonging to Dion's ex-wife in the bag which had been concealed in a water retention tank.

Dion is next expected to face court in June.
