Judge Woodburne said the teenager left the school and waited in a supermarket carpark for police to arrest him. When they did not, he called 000 and told an operator he had stabbed three people.

She sentenced the teenager to at least four years behind bars, with a maximum penalty of six years and nine months, with the entirety to be served in juvenile detention.

Due to time already served, he will be eligible for parole in February 2021.
