A man is fighting for life after being run over near the Brighton Village Shopping Centre in Butler on Friday night

Police found the 27-year-old man suffering from serious injuries at the carpark of the shopping complex, at the intersection of Marmion Avenue and Kingsbridge Boulevard, just after 9pm.

It is understood the man was hit by a vehicle.

St John Ambulance staff also attended the scene.

The man was taken to Royal Perth Hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Joondalup detectives are currently investigating the incident.

They are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at the Crime Stoppers WA website.
