In the vision, which was filmed from inside a spectator's vehicle, smoke can be seen as cars attempt to out-do each other.

At one point in the footage, it appears a person is sitting outside of the car, perched on the edge of the window to get a better angle of the scene.

They're all believed to be members of a south-east group.

Queensland Police says the road policing command is aware of the group's activities.
