A NSW Fire Brigade spokesman told 9news.com.au a crew had received a call about a boat on fire around 350 metres offshore from Oak Park Rock Pool, Cronulla just after 1pm.

Fire crews and maritime police are currently responding to the incident.

A NSW Police spokesman said the three people taken off the vessel were not injured.

The boat has been completely destroyed and remains well alight.

The cause of the blaze remains unknown.
