Jay and Isaiah were charged last night over the violent assault that left the 60-year-old Assistant Police Commissioner Chris O’Neill in hospital with cracked ribs, bleeding on the brain and internal injuries.

Hours after the alleged assault on Saturday, Isaiah Stephen’s post on his Facebook page: “I feel dead inside.”

The pair were arrested in Malvern East, south-east Melbourne, and charged with intentionally causing serious injury, recklessly causing serious injury, intentionally causing injury and recklessly causing injury.
