Construction union boss John Setka gets good behaviour bond over harassment charge

Construction union boss John Setka gets good behaviour bond over harassment charge The CFMEU's Victorian secretary John Setka has been placed on a one-year good behaviour bond after pleading guilty to two criminal charges. The Melbourne Magistrates' Court heard the 54-year-old had used a carriage service to harass and breached a court order late last year. The court heard the harassment included dozens of text messages and phone calls. Setka's lawyer, Marcus Dempsey, told the court his client had never threatened violence, but Magistrate Belinda Wallington replied: "It's still nasty behaviour." "The misogynistic language is what's causing me concern," Magistrate Wallington said.
