A one-year-old boy who died after he was struck by a car in the driveway of his family home was the son of Australian Olympic athlete Isaac Ntiamoah.

Josiah Ntiamoah was tragically killed on Friday, when his father - an Olympic track and field athlete - accidentally ran him over in the driveway of their Green Valley home.

Ntiamoah, 36, was driving a Mitsubishi ASX when the accident occurred around 3pm on Whitford Road.

The tragedy is said to have occurred as the family were preparing for the one-year-old's first birthday party, with Ntiamoah leaving the house to collect party supplies at the time, according to News Corp.
