A man is fighting for his life and two others have serious injuries after their speeding boat ran into a channel marker in Moreton Bay off Brisbane.

Police and paramedics were alerted to a crash on the water, off Cleveland, about 11pm on Wednesday.

Three men on board the boat suffered injuries ranging from critical to serious, and all remain in hospital.

Paramedics say one man injured his spine and also suffered a blunt force injury to his abdomen that caused him to bleed internally.

He had been to be given blood as he was rushed to hospital.

Another man suffered a blunt force injury to his chest, which is believed to have fractured his sternum and ribs.

The third suffered facial and spinal injuries.

The men ranged in age from their 20s to 40s.
