A man riding a mountain bike allegedly grabbed and indecently assaulted a 17-year-old near a park playground in Gungahlin, in Canberra's north. He followed her and is alleged to have grabbed and indecently assaulted her. Police describe him as Caucasian, in his 20s and with a European accent.

The boy managed to fight off the offender and flee, and reported the matter to police the following day..

Investigators have released a facial composite of the man, and urge anyone with information to come forward.

Police have also released an image of the boy’s distinctive bicycle and trailer in the hope of identifying anyone who may have witnessed the incident or the boy in the area.
