Hynes was convicted over the assault last year.

During the hearing at Brisbane's Magistrates Court, Mr Nolan claimed he was at home at 10.30pm when he told off children playing loudly on Hynes' tennis court.

He called out to the kids and told them to keep quiet or he'd call the police, which prompted Hynes to go to Mr Nolan's house to confront him.

The pair were having a verbal altercation before Hynes pushed Mr Nolan into the wall and punched him in the head four or five times.

The punches only stopped once Mr Nolan fell to the floor, the court heard.

'No one talks to my f---ing kids like that,' Hynes told Mr Nolan.

Seven months after the attack, Hynes sold his mansion for $3.2 million.

He was sentenced to one year in jail, suspended for three years, after pleading guilty to the serious assault of a person over 60 years of age.

He agreed to pay for Mr Nolan to consult a psychologist and receive treatment after being diagnosed with PTSD, the publication reported.

The matter has been paused before the courts until Mr Nolan files more material and launches a personal injury damages suit.
