Driver killed, passenger critical after crash in Melbourne's north A man has died and another is in a critical condition following a serious crash in Melbourne's north overnight. The driver died at the scene after a white Ford Falcon smashed into a pole on a median strip in Kalimna Crescent, Coolaroo, about 9.20pm last night. His passenger, a man aged in his 20s, suffered life-threatening head injuries and was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition. The name of the driver and the passenger has not been revealed. It has not yet been disclosed how they know each other. Police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the crash.

A man has died after crashing his car south of Sydney last night.

The car was travelling on Lakeside Drive in Kanahooka, near Wollongong, when it left the road and hit a tree at about 8.45pm.

The 17-year-old driver died at the scene and two passengers were hospitalised with serious injuries.
