Teen Red Rooster delivery driver carjacked at knifepoint A teenage Red Rooster delivery driver has had his car stolen at knifepoint by three people in Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast. The 19-year-old was looking for an address at Primary School Court when he was approached by a man and two women just after 8.30pm. The man threatened the teen with a knife and demanded that he exit his car before the group got in and fled the scene. The driver was not physically injured. Police attempted to intercept the stolen car on Nambour Road before it was eventually found abandoned on Maroubra Street just before 10.30pm. The trio remain on the run.

Police say an 18-year-old moped rider crashed with a Holden Colorado on Ducat Street about 6pm yesterday.

The rider was thrown to the road and struck by a Toyota Prado. He died at the scene.

The company this morning confirmed in a statement the teenager was an employee delivering pizza at the time.

"Domino's Pizza Enterprises Limited (Domino's) has confirmed, with great sadness, the death of one of our team members in a motor vehicle accident," a Domino's spokesperson said.

The 42-year-old male driver of the Holden and the 46-year-old female driver of the Toyota were uninjured.

They were taken to Tweed Heads Hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.

Police are investigating and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
