Family and friends have paid tribute to the woman who "held their family together" after she was hit and killed by an out-of-control car in Adelaide's inner north.

Ravneet Kaur was struck by the vehicle in a car park in Prospect last Thursday.

The 31-year-old leaves behind two sons, aged seven and one.

"Mum was very kind…she was a lovely person," her son Harshpunneet Singh said.

"She always helped me and cared about me."

"They asking me where is mother, I tell them, mum goes to the sky, to the stars, you can see in the stars, she will be there," her husband Bhupinder Singh said.

Ms Kaur's brother Harmeet Singh was with the young mother when she was hit. He was vising Australia for the first time.

"She was the pillar of our family and right now we are all so upset because we can't do anything, we are missing (her) so badly," Mr Singh said.

Ms Kaur immigrated to Australia to study nursing 10 years ago.

No charges have been laid against the 82-year-old driver who lost control of the car.
