Pedestrian killed in hit-run in Melbourne's southeast A pedestrian has been killed in a suspected hit-run crash in Melbourne's southeast. Police say the woman was crossing the road at Wellington Street near Scenic Boulevard in Clayton when she was hit by a dark coloured wagon travelling west just before 10pm last night. The driver failed to stop. Police located the car believed to be involved, dumped at a property on North Road, Clayton at about 11pm. Investigators believe the car was travelling at a high speed prior to the crash and are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or with dashcam footage to come forward.

A woman has died after being struck by trampoline parts while driving in the Gold Coast hinterland two weeks ago.

The 63-year-old Garbutt woman passed away in hospital overnight after she suffered critical head injuries when the trampoline parts crashed through her windscreen along Mundoolun Connection Road on August 23.

Police say the parts fell from the back a HiLux, first hitting a Hyundai before smashing through the 63-year-old woman's windscreen.

The 31-year-old female driver of the Hyundai suffered minor head injuries.

The 39-year-old male driver of the HiLux was treated by paramedics at the scene.

The Garbutt woman was airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital, where she passed away on Saturday night.

The Forensic Crash Unit was investigating.
