Suspect remanded in custody over woman's death in Brisbane park A man has been remanded in custody after he was charged with the murder of a young woman whose body was found in a Brisbane park last week. Bradley Scott Edwards, 34, did not appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning. Ioli Hadjilyra's body was found in bushes in Kalinga Park, in the city's north, on September 4. The 26-year-old's cause of death has not been revealed. At the time, Detective Inspector Tim Trezise said police believe the "otherwise healthy young woman" likely died where she was found. "Her body had some bleeding and numerous bruises on it," Det. Insp.Trezise said.

"Her husband was saying they were both fine but he wouldn't let us speak to my sister and we knew something was up and kept on trying to call," her sister Alison Gibson said.

"We didn't believe him and came here but we couldn't get in the front door because it was deadbolted.

"Gerard jumped on the roof and got inside and found her."

Neighbours say they heard screaming coming from the property on Friday night but no one called the police.

The healthcare worker has been described by her family as really loved and the life of the party.

"She was always smiling, she always made everyone happy around her. She was really kind, the life of the party," Ms Gibson said.

"We are a really close family."

The family camped out outside Ms Bairnsfather-Scott's home for 16 hours today, demanding answers over her death.

Police were questioning a man known to the woman on Sunday night but no arrests have yet been made.
