Cyclist attempts to hit driver with bike in bizarre road rage incident Dressed in hi-vis cycling lycra, the man was seen attempting to ram his bicycle through the window of a car in the heart of the Brisbane CBD. © Supplied In an attempt to find the upper hand in the altercation however, the cyclist then turned to pick up his bicycle and ram it through the driver's window. Dressed in hi-vis cycling lycra, the man was first seen standing beside a 4WD vehicle at a red traffic light when an argument began to unfold. Within moments, both the driver inside the car and the cyclist began to exchange punches as other motorists watched on.

A cyclist who was thrown from his bike while trying to escape a magpie south of Sydney has died in hospital.

Emergency services were called to Nicholson Park at Woonona about 8.15am yesterday following reports a 76-year-old man had been seriously injured.

Witnesses revealed the man had been riding his bike on an off-road path that runs alongside the park when a swopping magpie targeted him.

In attempting to escape the bird, the man collided with a fence post and was thrown to the ground, sustaining serious head injuries.

Paramedics treated the man at the scene before he was airlifted to St George Hospital in a critical condition.

Despite the medical efforts of doctors at the hospital, the man died late last night.

Wollongong Police District authorities will prepare a report for the Coroner and are investigating the incident further.
