A 46-year-old man is due to appear in a Victorian court on Monday as South Australian police apply to extradite him over a cold case stabbing murder. Suzanne Poll was murdered in a frenzied stabbing attack in 1993 while working at a Salisbury newsagency, next to the Parabanks Shopping Centre.
Medical reports about a rapist and killer are expected to be tendered to a Melbourne court.
Codey Herrmann pleaded guilty in June to murdering international student Aiia Maasarwe, whose body was found near a tram stop at Bundoora in the city's north on January 16.
Herrmann, aged 20 when he was arrested in January, is set to face the Supreme Court of Victoria on Tuesday for a plea hearing.
Ms Maasarwe, a Palestinian Arab of Israeli citizenship, had been in Melbourne only a short time and was speaking by phone to her overseas-based sister, Noor, when attacked while on her way home from a comedy club.

A convicted rapist is walking the streets, and his victim says it's not good enough."The impact from the crime you committed against me can only be described as beyond devastating. Any day can be like a tower of terror. At any moment something can trigger my thoughts and I easily plummet into the ground," she wrote in a message she provided to A Current Affair.
Herrmann was meant to appear in court in late June for an administrative matter but did not, with his lawyers saying they would be ready by October 1.
At a previous hearing, Herrmann's lawyer Tim Marsh told the court there could be a significant amount of material presented on his client's behalf, including a neuropsychiatric report and others on culture and background.
