Eliza Alexandra Day Braddie, 25, was found with numerous cosmetic products, including face-lifting creams and eye creams, in her handbag when confronted by police in September.

The luxury items had been stolen from stores such as Mecca Maxima and Sephora, with some worth more than $300 each.

At the time, she told police she hadn't kept the receipts.

The Sunshine Coast woman pleaded guilty in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Friday to stealing charges and the possession of a restricted drug which she had claimed was for a 'sore tooth'.

The court heard that she had previously served jail time for taking part in a burglary where she stole possessions worth $1000.

She was also charged with stealing clothes from Target earlier this year, The Sunshine Coast Daily reported.

'You've been given every conceivable option to not end up in there (jail).'

After serving 22 days of her nine month jail sentence, Day Braddie is to be released on parole.

In addition to the sentence, the young woman was fined $600.
