A man is dead and a teenager is fighting for life after two cars rolled in separate Queensland crashes.

An 80-year-old Foreshores man died after the car he was a passenger in rolled on Turkey Beach Road, south of Gladstone, on Saturday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to the rollover about 4.30pm.

The driver, a 72-year-old Foreshores woman, was airlifted to Rockhampton Hospital while two other passengers, a 55-year-old Morayfield man and a 15-year-old Foreshores boy, were taken to Gladstone Hospital by road, in a stable condition.

Meanwhile, a teenage boy is fighting for life after the station wagon he was allegedly driving flipped on a remote road in north Queensland, police say.

There were six teenagers int he car when it lost control and rolled on Kuttini Street, Lockhart River, on Saturday afternoon.

"The alleged driver of the vehicle, a 14-year-old Mount Sheridan boy, sustained serious head injuries as a result of the crash and was airlifted to Townsville Hospital," a police statement read.

"Two male passengers aged 13 and 14 were transported to Cairns Hospital with minor injuries.

Two 16-year-old female passengers and another 14-year-old boy were not seriously injured and received treatment in Lockhart River."

The forensic crash unit was investigating both crashes.
