A man was left unconscious after a street fight outside the Rapture nightclub in Perth on Saturday night, but the nightclub's owner said the club was not involved.

The man, aged in his 20s, was taken to Royal Perth Hospital early on Sunday morning with suspected head injuries but was later released.

Mr Scott has faced ongoing abuse on social media over his response to a young woman who claimed her drink was spiked at the club.

In a private message, owner Neil Scott had asked Shantel Smith: "What proof do you have of your drink being spiked?" and "Are you worth someone trying to spike your drink?"

The 19-year-old then posted the message to her Instagram.

Mr Scott has told 9News he regrets the messages, but says he doesn't believe the teen's drink was spiked.

West Australian police have yet to confirm whether or not they have been able to validate Ms Smith's claims her drink was spiked.
