Police have arrested five people and laid dozens of charges over a series of thefts across Perth, including a late-night rampage at an Apple store at Garden City shopping centre where $300,000 of tech gadgets were stolen.

The group, which includes two teenage boys, two women and a 32-year-old man, have been accused of several burglaries between August 29 and October 4.

They are alleged to have hit suburbs including Noranda, Kenwick, Perth, Booragoon, Secret Harbour, Subiaco, Melville, Gosnells and Warnbro, and stolen items ranging from cigarettes to cars.

Police have charged two teenagers over a destructive crime spree across several Perth suburbs this week, including driving a stolen car into a letterbox. Dramatic CCTV vision captured the stolen car colliding into the letterbox in Carlisle on Thursday morning.

Police said the group stole about $50,000 worth of cigarettes from a Noranda supermarket on August 30; five cars from a used car dealership in Kenwick between August 31 and September 2; and $300,000 of electronics from the Garden City Apple store on September 3.

Security staff at the Garden City Apple store were allegedly threatened with blunt weapons during the burglary, leading to several aggravated and armed robbery charges being laid.

The cars stolen from the used car dealership were later found burnt out.

Police executed search warrants on houses in East Cannington, Gosnells and Lynwood, and on Tuesday announced the five people had been charged.

The 32-year-old man from Maddington will appear in Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday, December 18, facing 34 charges.

A 14-year-old boy from Lynwood will appear in Perth Children’s Court on November 11 on 32 charges, while a 15-year-old boy from Maddington will appear in the children’s court on November 20, also facing 32 charges.

Two 20-year-old women, one from Baldivis, another from Gosnells, will both appear in Armadale Magistrates Court on December 3.

The Baldivis woman has been charged with stealing, while the Gosnells woman has been charged with one count of receiving.
