Police divers are searching Tallebudgera Creek on the Gold Coast near the site where a man's body was found under a bridge on Monday.

The body is believed to be that of alleged bikie Shane Ross.

The divers have been in the water since 8:00am, searching near Martin Shiel Park at Tallebudgera.

The ABC understands they are looking for a gun suspected of being linked to Mr Ross's death, which is being treated as suspicious.

The body was found in the park about 1 kilometre from where Mr Ross's friend and business partner died in a single-vehicle crash on Friday night.
