An Australian tourist accused of bashing three security guards in a drunken rage at a Bali hotel walked free from jail after he paid for their medical compensation.

Scott James Harrison, 40, from the New South Wales Central Coast, was alleged to have attacked three security guards at the TS Suites resort in Seminyak at around 1.30am on Wednesday.

The security guards said they were left with facial injuries after the alleged rampage, with one claiming to have been choked by Harrison.

Harrison allegedly became involved in a brawl and started attacking the guards when they tried to calm him down.

The Australian also allegedly disturbed other hotel guests by shouting at them and knocking on the doors to their rooms.

One of the security guards he allegedly attacked said he reported the incident to police after his wife voiced concerns that Harrison could hurt other people.

'I was hit in my face and got bruises on my cheek. But it's already better now,' Christofaunus Abukun told 7News.

'He was drunk when he came back to the hotel. He was drinking again at the hotel bar. But when he wanted another drink, the bar staff refused to serve him as he was already too drunk. He hit the bar staff.'

The alleged victims withdrew their complaints after Harrison agreed to pay for their medical treatment and offered a peace agreement.

The amount of compensation to be paid has not been revealed.
