A popular line of dummies has been urgently recalled over fears babies could choke to death while using them . Customers who bought BIBS dummies sold by Chloe Layla and Co have been urged to 'A cord or ribbon attached to a dummy may pose a strangulation hazard,' the recall notice stated.

Bibs dummies were recalled on Friday by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).

They product is available for sale on eBay store Chubby Gumz. 

'And that a cord or ribbon attached to a dummy may pose a strangulation hazard,' the recall notice said.

The ACCC also warned that part of the packaging did not meet safety standards. 

They said the packaging should  advise parents to inspect the dummy for damage or weakness, but doesn't.

Those who have bought a Bibs dummy should stop using the product or contact Chubby Gumz for more information
