  Serial fraudster charged with child stealing A woman has been charged with stealing two children in regional Victoria after allegedly pretending to be an au pair.Convicted criminal Samantha Azzopardi was with a four-year-old girl and a 10-month-old baby when police swooped on her at Bendigo's Pall Mall on Friday.

An Independence man was arrested on charges of second-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon after he allegedly stabbed his brother four times with a kitchen Nicholas Coronado, 27, of Independence, was arrested on suspicion of stabbing his brother at a West Salem apartment complex.

Police said the suspect killed his brother . Another person was shot in the leg.

A Perth man has been rushed to hospital after he suffered a suspected stab wound following a fight with his brother in Banksia Grove on Friday.

About 9.30pm, police were called to a disturbance at a home on Canopy Court.

Police allege the brothers became involved in a verbal fight that turned physical, and one man received an injury consistent with a stab wound.

St John Ambulance took the 32-year-old injured man to Royal Perth Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.

Police said the injury could have been life-threatening, but he is now stable.

The man’s brother was taken to Joondalup Health Campus with minor injuries, and he was then taken to Joondalup Police Station to be interviewed.

The 35-year-old was charged with aggravated grievous bodily harm and he appeared in the Perth Magistrates Court on Saturday.

The investigation is ongoing.
