Two young sisters have gone missing from Sydney's north on Friday night.

Justine Zhang, 12, and Julie Zhang, 11, were last seen at a home on Herring Road, Marsfield, about 11pm on Friday night.

Police are now appealing for public assistance to find two missing girls.

Officers were called to a property near Cobar in the Central West at 5am.They allegedly discovered 38 rangeland goats on a truck.The goats were released and the truck was seized.Two men, one aged 27 and one aged 28, will be served with future court attendance notices for an array of offences, police said.Central North Police District Commander, Superintendent Andrew Hurst, said rural crime and the offenders causing harm to the rural community continue to be of focus.

Officers from Ryde Police Area Command were notified about 8.30am this morning when the children when they could not be located.

Their family and police have concerns for their welfare due to their young age.

Justine & Julie are described as being of Asian appearance, fair complexion, of a slim build, and with long dark hair.

Justine is about 145cm tall and Julie is about 130cm tall.

It is not known what the girls were wearing when they left.
